Cowgirl Cadence

Maybe we should have dressed her up as a Cowgirl for Halloween?

(Oh, and yes, that's a diaper she's using as her cowgirl hat!) LOL!

Home Improvements

We had a bit of home improvement done in our home this week. We now have hardwood flooring throughout the downstairs! The crew of 3 arrived around 9:00 in the morning. Matt and I were impressed at how quickly they moved in the living room and dining room. We figured they'd be done with everything around 4:00. Of course, the living room and dining room are pretty open spaces. They didn't have much to work around in those rooms. The work slowed a bit when the workers moved to the kitchen and half bath though. Between the island and little nooks and crannies, the work slowed quite a bit. We signed off on the job just after 8:00 that evening. So, in around 11 hours, our home improvements were done. (Until I find something else I want done!) ;-)

Dinner Time Conversation

We were at the table eating dinner tonight when C holds up her piece of broccoli and proclaims that it is a cactus. The conversation went something like this (use your imagination to hear C's words):

C: Dis look like cactus.
Us: Yes, it does look like a cactus.
C: Hi cactus. I'm Cadence.

Then she promptly ate the cactus's head. Nice, huh? :-)

Her next piece of broccoli was a tree. She didn't introduce herself to the tree, but she did eat it.
